We’re delighted to announce our most recent Microsoft accreditation, the Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialization – demonstrating our profound knowledge, extensive experience and proven success in migrating Windows Server and SQL Server-based production workloads to Microsoft Azure.
What is the Specialization?
This Specialization is recognition of our proficiency in providing our customers with the framework they need for secure and successful cloud adoption.
“As companies look to modernise their applications and take full advantage of the benefits that cloud computing can deliver, and with the recent end-of-support for Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2, they are looking for a partner with advanced skills to assess, plan, and migrate their existing workloads to the cloud,” says Denis Meade, Partner Development Lead for Microsoft Ireland.
To be awarded this Advanced Specialization, Evros needed to prove an extremely high level of experience and competency in service delivery and support.
It was also a tangible opportunity for us to demonstrate our dedication, competency, expertise and proven success in enabling effective migrations – regardless of our customers’ industry or specific regulations and requirements – all verified independently via the audit.
As well as having an active Gold Cloud Platform Competency, we needed a range of specialist attributes to qualify for this advanced specialization, as well as to prove our success in migrating Windows and SQL Server workloads to Azure.
We also needed to provide evidence of our Microsoft competency, our cloud framework and our product offerings.
“Only partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling, as well as pass a third-party audit of their migration practices, are able to earn the Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Azure advanced Specialization and Evros have met these expectations,” says Denis.
At Evros, we have invested heavily in our Microsoft capabilities and our team comprises highly qualified engineers with certifications covering the Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate and finally the Azure Data Engineer Associate certifications – all guided by Evros’ Microsoft Practice Director Gerry Kerr and Principal Azure Solution Architect and Microsoft MVP Joe Carlyle.
“Evros is delighted to be awarded this new Specialization,” says Gerry.
“Not only does it represent the ever-deepening relationship between Evros and Microsoft, but it also recognises the effort, investment and commitment made by Evros to deliver the highest level of service and expertise to our Customers.”
Joe Carlyle continues: “We’re so proud to have achieved this recognition from Microsoft for our Azure Migration solution – Azure Spark. Earning an Advanced Specialization is an important milestone for us as we look to continuously improve and update our Azure migration framework.”
“It is Important from the standpoint of partners such as Evros being able to differentiate themselves in the market and to ensure that we have partners such as Evros that are meeting a high bar of capability to meet our joint customers’ needs when on their digital transformation journeys,” adds Denis.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, we have a dedicated team of highly trained experts to support Azure deployment.
Our years of experience in Azure as well as cloud technologies as a whole mean we not only know how to implement each solution, but we also know the best approach for each business.
At Evros, we have also successfully developed a mature Azure Managed Service offering which is based on the ITIL framework and backed by the ISO 20000 and 27001 certifications.
