Working on a one-man IT management team, MFP’s IT Manager Gerard Dunne needed a procurement service that would act as an additional team member, always available and able to source the correct technical software or hardware. The answer? eSource.
“The eSource team has never let me down. Ever since I was set up on the eSource portal with a full briefing on the features, they are now the first port of call for all of MFP’s IT hardware and software requirements and continue to provide us with a consistently efficient service.”
– Gerard Dunne, IT Manager, MFP
MFP is a leading producer of quality plastic building products for the construction industry, public utilities and local authorities. Established in 1967, the company is part of the Grafton Group Plc.
Time is a precious commodity, and Gerard needed complete flexibility surrounding his procurement ordering and above all, his operations needed reliability and a consistency that suited his requirements.
Due to his time constraints, on-the-spot ordering was the difference between the smooth operation of his department or the disruption of a critical workflow.
Following an introductory overview of MFP, the eSource team identified the below as key requirements for MFP:
• 24/7 access to a self-service procurement portal
• The ability to compare and purchase IT requirements at the best available price
• Rapid response to product quotes
• Next-day delivery
• Product comparison tool
The eSource team set up an account on the eSource portal and implemented induction on the various features of the portal that would directly benefit MFP as mentioned above.
Following the initial set-up on the eSource portal, MFP was able to utilise many of eSource’s features, including the online quotation tool. This allows users to create, download, manage and convert quotations to orders including quantity pricing. The tool saved Gerard a lot of time waiting on a quote from his account manager. Furthermore, the product comparison tool allowed MFP to understand what exactly they required from their hardware, fostering lean efficiency within its new procurement process.
Currently, MFP shares a very strong working relationship with eSource and is keen to grow this partnership across the entire Evros Technology Group. eSource enabled Gerard to streamline his entire procurement workflow with the portal’s ‘always-on’ self-service features.
eSource was created to deliver the complete end-to-end procurement and deployment solutions on all IT hardware and software.
The eSource Procurement Portal can also integrate its 24/7 real-time service exclusively into your organisation, which can fully customise employee bundle starter packages and controlled ring-fenced stock and pricing for your specific needs.
