Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) were looking for a more cost-effective approach to their data management. They also required a more agile Test and Development solution.
The corporation chose Evros Technology Group to deliver the correct infrastructure for DAE to meet their business goals.
Firstly, we needed to migrate their services to Microsoft Azure as well as shut down their current production data centre.
Next, we needed to ensure that their Azure architecture was aligned to their needs which included 55 Virtual Machines, covering over 80 applications including full Citrix and Oracle deployments.
Finally, we needed to migrate their services in a cohesive and dependency-aware manner minimising any potential risk to the business while maintaining Evros Managed Services SLAs.
As a result of our work with DAE, we enabled them to transition to a ‘Cloud-only’ agile environment with no legacy datacentre footprint left behind, as well as established geo-dispersed locations across Western and Northern Europe.
Furthermore, we are now aiding the full decommissioning and closure of City West datacentre which will allow for major cost savings on licensing, hardware, real-estate, and energy.
Following on from the project, DAE now have resilient network connectivity across multiple Express route peering points of entry, and their applications now leverage Azure AD for single identity control.
Finally, we also ensured complete standardisation of Backup and DR for all of their applications.
Since the migration to Azure, DAE Capital has also deployed Microsoft B2C, Microsoft Teams and Azure Virtual Desktop, further leveraging the investments into the Azure platform, and are currently investigating the option of a Teams VOIP solution for its global office network.
